Craps: Come & Don't Come Bets
How to place and play come and don't come bets in casinos.
Miss the come-out role? Not a problem, you can still place a come or don't come bet and will still have the same odds.
Come
A come bet is exactly like the pass line bet, but may be made at any time. They are regarded as Pass (Don't Pass) bets, but as if the very next roll of the dice were the "come-out" roll of a new round. For example, if a come bet is made and if the next roll is 7 or 11, the Come bet wins immediately. If the next roll is 2, 3, or 12, the Come bet loses immediately. Otherwise, the number rolled is the point for that Come bet and the bet is moved to the new point. Similar to the pass line bet, players may place an odds bet if a point is thrown on the first roll after the come bet is placed. The house edge on a come bet is the same as a pass line bet - 1.4%.
A good strategy for the player who likes constant action is to have a new bet on either the pass line or come on every throw, and to always take the maximum allowable odds.
Don't Come
The don't come bet is exactly like the don't pass bet, but is made on a non-come out roll. The don't come bet is to the come bet as the don't pass bet is to the pass bet.
